Foam System

Firefighting foams are used in fixed and portable fire extinguishing systems. They are used primarily to combat flammable and combustible liquid fuel fires Aqueous foam solutions, created using foam concentrate mixed with water, are expanded with air to create foam. Foam is used to suppress liquid fuel vapors and cool the liquid surface.

Bladder Tank

The Bladder-Tank System works without requirement for any external energy supply. The foam

concentrate is stored in a rubber bag (bladder),which is contained inside the tank, is displaced from

it by means of water under pressure picked from the main Water line, and injected into the main

water line through the pressure drop generated by a venturi orifice.

The Vertical and Horizontal Bladder tanks are designed and constructed in accordance with the latest revisions of I.S.P.E.S.L.or ASME code Section VIII for unfired pressure vessels. They have a working pressure of 12 bar (175 PSI) and they are tested to 17,2 bar (249,5 PSI). Used with a ratio controller, this system is designed to inject foam concentrate into a suitable water supply and to automatically proportion foam concentrate over a wide range of flows and pressures.
