آب از مهمترین مواد اطفاء حریق در سیستم های آتش نشانی می باشد که برخی از دلایل آن عبارتست از: در دسترس بودن، عدم آثار زیست محیطی، عدم خطر جانی برای انسان، فاقد تاریخ مصرف و یا انقضاء، جذب انرژی بالای حرارتی به منظور تغییر فاز از مایع به بخار. لذا بنا به این دلایل این ماده کاربرد وسیعی در سیستم های آتش نشانی دارد.

Deluge Valve
این شیر در سیستم های اسپری و اسپرینکلر دارای کاربردی بسیار وسیعی می باشد. بر اساس نوع کاربرد و سیال ورودی طبقه بندی های مختلفی از نظر عملکرد و جنس دارد. این شیر جهت سیستم اطفاء حریق اتوماتیک آب و فوم بکار می رود.

Dry Pipe & Wet Alarm Valves
AES Alarm Valves act as check valves by trapping pressurized water above the clapper and preventing reverse flow from the sprinkler system’s piping. Alarm Valves are designed to initiate an alarm through a water motor gong bell and/or pressure switch during a sustained flow of water via a wet pipe (such as the flow required by an open fire sprinkler).
Alarm Valves are available with trims consisting of retarding chamber and water motor alarm gong bell.
Fusible Plugs
Fusible Plugs are thermally operated non-reclosing pressure relief devices to function by the yielding or melting of the fusible alloy.

Pressure Control Valve
شیر کاهنده فشار برای کاهش میزان فشار در پایین دست سیستم اطفاء حریق رود. بکار می بدون توجه به تغییر این شیر جریان و فشار بالادست، به صورت خودکار فشار آب ورودی را به فشار معین و ثابتی در پایین دست خود کاهش می دهد.
